vanquishing hidden city in nf - Guild Wars Forums

hello - please can anyone help. trying to vq the hidden city - i did this on my derv 2 years ago and am sure there is a trcik where u only have to kill a few. if anyone knows it please tell me - if nothelpfulhints would be nice

Both wikis state there are around 200 foes to vanquish, neither state a trick to only kill a few and get vanquish credit.

Nope, but you do get more enemies with Gift of the Djinn. So I'd take that one out

Hm, according to this: The Gift of the Djinn quest will reduce the total number of creatures that spawn.

Says COMPLETING will raise the amount. I'd be inclined to believe that is the correct statement, as I vanquished it a month or two back and noticed a decent amount of djinn in that area. Also, having the quest will trigger a ton of djinn, iirc anyway.

I vanquished it last week and, silly me, tried (and succeeded) to do that quest while vanquishing. Well, this quest spawns a lot of enemies in the end. They all run to the beginning of the level.

The main trick to kill Djinns is to flag the party behind a corner, have your prot monk put Protective Spirit on you. Pull the djinn group but stay far away from your group so your aggro bubble barely touches your group. You get the healing and some attacks from your groups and most of the times the djinn will aggro you only. Of course you have to keep PS on yourself all the time.
